Bill worked with all 4
of our horses. One was generally gentle, but had gotten a bit
stubborn from not being ridden. He was back to his push button ways
very quickly. We also have 2 young thoroughbreds. They had never
been trained and one was getting rather dangerous. She wouldn’t let
you near her or she would kick or bite. The other was OK personality
wise, but she needed training from the basics. Just to get them to
Bill’s was an experience. These 2 had never even seen a trailer,
let alone get into one. Bill had them loaded within an hour with no
injuries to horse or person. Bill was very patient with them. We
were amazed to see them under saddle within a week or two. Our 4th
horse was a paint that had “issues”. He had been injured when a
fence panel fell on him a few years ago. We couldn’t even get a
saddle near him for a few years. We took him to a weekend Parelli
clinic. He did OK on the first morning during some basic ground
work, but when it came time for the saddle, he started bucking when
it was just set on his back. They would not even try to help, and
would not even let him in their round ring. That was a major waste
of money. We took him home and just kept trying to de-sensitize him
to the saddle. No matter how patient we were, every time someone
got on him, he may walk a few feet, but then would buck them off.
The first day we had him at Bill’s, the horse put on quite a bucking
show. Within a week he was being ridden in the round pen, and then
out on the road. That was several months ago and he has not bucked
anyone off since. Bill has a true gift with horses. He knows how
to win their trust and I believe that is the first step in ever
doing anything else with them.

Bill You save a lot of horses that would be
other wise dangerous, I watch you with these problem horses, and I swear
if I could describe what you do with a horse, it is like you can take a
rock and turn it into art!

Fri, 28 Jul 2006 From: "Francis Rover" Re: jewel Bill, I am really
impressed with the way you break and train all of the
horses...especially problem horses. I know some people have a gift for
working with animals, and you definitely have that gift. Also, the
special techniques you use is great! I also saw what you did for Six and
am really impressed...I would have never thought that he would look this
way after the way he was last April 2005. I will be over at the farm
later on today.
Take care, Frank

I have seen all the clinicians Parelli, Anderson, Lyons... but I have
never seen any one with more of a natural gift with a horse than Bill.
Dan Crockett
He is a true horse whisperer! Bill not only has a gift with
the horse, but he thinks like a horse. I will gladly edit his book when
it gets out. His knowledge and talent should be shared
Peggy Crockett.
Below are pictures of Dan and Peggy's
horses. The paint horse is blind in one eye and is in the water
for the first time.

Bill, You are the hardest working, and most talented trainer, that
has ever trained for me, and that puts you in good company with Rodger
Cullipher, and Rocky Loney. I never had a harder working trainer. You
have the talent to win with anything I give you cheap horse or good!
Luel P. Overstreet

Bill you are the invisible man. I have never seen nor worked with a more
talented trainer in all my years, yet no one seems to see the great
things you do. I have seen you buy cheap horse for no money at all off
of top name trainers and take them to the winners circle. You took my
stable and gave every one of them new life marks, and though I have had
a lot of success, you improved every horse for me.
Friends always,
Joe Mapes

Bill,
We are so glad we sent you this mare. Other trainers, could not get her
to calm and trust people! She was a bad bucker, and now she is doing
great and cantering. She seems to love her work now. She is doing really
well. I have ridden her twice and I will ride her again this evening. We
are mostly just walking, and trot like 1-2 minutes. She is listening
really well and behaving very good. I will definitely let you know if we
go to a show or anything.

I have never had all the horses in my barn race good till you broke
them all. You are great when it comes to breaking a horse! I'm lovin it!
Thanks,
Chuck Eustus

I don't know what the heck you do but your horses love you! You are
truly great with a horse!
Malinda Crockett.

Bill Holman, has yrs of experience and produces a very willing horse
using all gentle methods! He broke 15 of my thoroughbreds and not one
bucked when he first rode them.

Bill-
You have done such a wonderful job with both Normon. The first time I
met you was at a horse show when Normon had refused to go into the
trailer. After a dozen men had came over with their whips and ropes
trying to "muscle" him in, you came over with a simple lunge rope and
said let me try. You bonded with Normon in a matter of minutes, and
after working a tiring 4 hours, even through the tornado warnings, you
had Normon stepping into the trailer. And trust me people, that was not
easy, Normon was traumatized, and the last thing he wanted to see was
another man! But you saved the day! After seeing you handle Normon at
the horse show I decided to send Normon to you for a month of training.
After the 30 days I was expecting to get back a "re-tuned Normon," but I
got back a completely different horse! You took the time to diagnose
Normon's problems, then bond with the horse, and then eventually start
training him. During this time you figured out a lot about Normon's
past, or should I say his abusive past? But working through Normon's
problems you changed his entire outlook on life. Not only was he more
confident in himself but you made him an extremely safe horse for me, on
the ground and on back. And even to this day he has not forgotten a
single bit of his training, including loading into a trailer. I can not
thank you enough for the transformation you have done for Normon, we now
able to both enjoy working together, as horse and rider.

Bill-
Once again, another success story! This time with Presley! Presley was a
3 year old quarter horse with a lot of attitude and no brake pedal! He
needed a lot of work on the ground let alone he needed to be broke! He
could only be handled by me and even then he was a hand full. But after
a month and a half with Bill he came back better than I could have
expected. He came back fully broke to ride AND to pull cart! Bill made
Presley safe for me to continue his training, and for what I thought
wasn't possible, my mom the novice rider. Last fall my mom, who knows
nothing about horses, was able to ride Presley (who then was only broke
for 2 months) on a trail ride through the county park! We had no
problems, he was absolutely wonderful! Presley is becoming such a
willing and dependable horse it's remarkable! The thing that amazes me
most about Bill's training techniques is how the horses remember
everything so well! Bill drove Presley cart in August, but I have been
unable to drive him all winter because of the cold, and this March we
hooked him up to the cart and he drove like he had been doing it all his
life! It jus shows how solid his training is! He builds such a bond and
trust between him and the horse they learn to love their job! It's a
wonderful training technique for horses and I hope other people are able
to experience Bills unique ideas! Thanks again Bill, the horses are very
appreciative!
~Sheila

BILL,
ZANDER DID PRETTY GOOD, HER AND HER HUSBAND BOTH RODE HIM, HE DID
EXCELLENT FOR THE HUSBAND, HE CANTERED AND NOT A BIT OF TROUBLE, YOU DID
A GOOD JOB.!!
Dianne Marchand

Bill,
Thank you so much for your help today. I can't believe how much you were
able to accomplish in 15 minutes with our horse! I especially appreciate
your honesty and integrity. You could have easily told us you needed her
for training, and we would not have known better. Instead you directed
us to correct riding techniques that immediately helped us with the
issues we were having. I hope that you start doing some training and
riding clinics in order to start teaching people what "real" natural
horsemanship is.
Best regards,
Shoni

We gave you a problem horse that would bolt when you tried to
dismount, that was highly nervous when you tried to touch him, and who
generally disliked men. Two and a half ( 2 1/2 } weeks later you
returned a docile, very approachable and obedient horse that is a
pleasure to ride on the trails. You did this with love and understanding
instead of restraint and abuse. Diann and I can't thank you enough and
Gambler is happier for being trained by a true professional horse
whisperer. We will be recommending you highly to all our friends,
especially those with problem horses.
Thanks Again

Oh my gosh Bill! you are wonderful! I didn't get ghost out Sunday. Took him out tonight without
lunging him. Can't wait to go out Friday and Sunday again. He was a pleasure. Did not do one thing wrong. went past 2 sprayers and a hay wagon on the rd. Wonderful! You did a fantastic job! You ever
need a reference, send them my way. He is perfect getting on, off whatever. He has the typical Arabian energy. You are right about one thing. He loves to ride. We had a real nice time together. Again, thanks bill, He is everything I was hoping he would be. Already have the sitter for Friday, I hope I can wait that long!

Tovenaar is really awesome I can't believe he is the same horse. The
show is in 2 weeks I can't wait. Missy is doing well also. She wants to
be stiff and not bend but it will come in time. She has put on muscle
and weight and looks good. Her top line has improved and she look like
she will be a hunter. You are a talented horse trainer, thank you for a
good job.
(SIDE NOTES)
Tovenaar and Mystique ( Tovenaar) was a 6 yr old who the owner had
pretty much given up on as a useful horse. No matter what they tried he wouldn't move forward.
My methods had him moving forward and really enjoying his work and at
his first show in two weeks.

Hi:
My name is Glen Gaddy and I am the owner of My Guy, the Private
Interview/My Margaret gelding you prepped for the Timonium sale in June.
I received a copy of your email from Dove Houghton and she has asked the
track photographer to send you a copy of the win photo. Let me know if
you do not receive it by the end of this week.
I hope that you will stay in touch and that we will have many more win
photos for My Guy in the future. Can you tell me a little about what you
did with him to get him ready for the sale? Mike Dennis said that he was
virtually impossible to break. He is a very professional racehorse today
and a joy to be around. I would love your insight into him and how you
turned him around.
Thanks for your interest and support and thanks for a good job in
bringing a fine specimen to the Timonium sale so I could take him home.
With warmest regards and appreciation,
Glen Gaddy
 Bill,
I just wanted to let you know how our first ride went. Last night
Fancy and I went on a trail ride and she did very good for me. While I
was saddling her she didn’t move around at all, but she did bite at me
while I was tightening the girth, but she stopped when I really didn’t
react. She stood while I mounted and we walked down the road and right
out the gate no problem. She was very alert and flinched a time or two,
but nothing dramatic. A deer running across a field got her a little
worried, but we kept going. I think it worried her more because she
really couldn’t see the deer or where it went. We had a very good ride
and I enjoyed it and her. Thank you so much for your hard work. I now
have a pleasant and controllable horse. She doesn’t even fuss a whole
lot like she did before about being alone.
Cathy

Hello Bill,
I hope all is well you and your family. You are the greatest trainer!
What you did with our horses was absolutely amazing. You are gifted with
the "horse spirit". Irish, Tiatan, and Echo love you.
Best wishes,
Peggy and Dan O'Keefe
 Bill,
Glad to see the good, gentle training work you
are doing with horses! Thank goodness other people care about them too
-- they are very spiritual creatures and I can sense their souls every
time I'm around them.
Sincerely,
Sharon in Ocala, Florida

.... just wanted to pass along my endorsement
for Bill as a trainer .... he has been taking care of a couple of our yearlings
and we have found him to be extremely sensitive to our horses needs ... we like
the fact that he is a hands-on trainer and his honesty is second to none .....
if you have any specific questions you would like to ask, please do not hesitate

9/18/07 update: Racer finished reserve champion in his first 25 mile
race last weekend.

Bill,
These
pics are from Racers 2nd 25 mile ctr. He placed 5th in light weight
div. His 1st 25 mile ctr he was Reserve Champion overall.
3rd ride was a 27 mile ctr, 2nd in light weight div.
He has been a pleasure to ride at all these rides. handles
everything (ie; bridges, horses w/carts, other horses racing past
him, people working/milling around), like an old pro.
Wow what a change from that horse I sent you less than a year ago.
Thank you, Brandi
Aside from Bill: (This horse was killer bound
when I got him, he had all ready been to a trainer 60 days and said he
couldn't be ridden)
New Update on Racer! 2/13/08
Racer earned Grand Champion this past weekend at a 30 mile
competitive trail ride.
He also received the Best Trail Horse award!!!! ~Brandi~

I know NO ONE better than you Bill, who
can break and train a horse better, and with such poise and grace and
understanding about the horse's feelings.
Gail

Now that is a darn nice horse and his trainer is one of the best I have
ever seen work with a horse!!!!

Carter is doing fine. I took him to the
Goethe Forest the Sunday after he came home. He was less spooky and
except for running out through the woods a little ways when a cart and
horse came up behind us, he was pretty good. I still have to get a
better bit for him. He is obedient and responsive if I can keep him
relaxed but when he wants to plow into the bit he sure can! A little
stopping power would not be a bad thing to have at times. He was very
good in the parking area too and was not spooky of motorcycles or a cart
& horse that were stopped. I rode him all around the trailers and
trucks and the cart and horse. I am going to take again in the next day
or two. I think he will just get better and better.
He has been really good to ride around here and
I have NOT lounged him at all. I can ride him around the spooky trees
out at the rode that I could not get him near before he came to you.
Also he is staying nice and light and not pulling at the trot and canter
in the ring. I am forgetting about "contact" and the "on the bit" stuff
for now and concentrating on him staying light and responsive.

We can not THANK YOU enough for what you have done for our horses.
We are both very PLEASED with both of them. David is thrilled to death
and can not stop talking about what an excellent trainer you are.
We are overjoyed with knowing we can now enjoy our horses. You
have a true gift and we are both thankful to of gotten to know you
and know that we have excellent horses now because of you. If we
would not of brought our horses to you they would never be anything but
back yard pets.
Just saying Thank you can never express out appreciation for you.
